CONCRETE RELEASE AGENT BASE

Castor oil #1 is a pure castor oil grade most commonly used in the ornamental concrete statuary market. Castor oil #1 is recommended as the vegetable oil of choice by many latex rubber mold manufactures for both release performance and mold preservation. Castor oil #1 has a low solvency and will not harm or swell the latex base that can occur with other vegetable or petroleum oil bases over time with repeated use. The diluted castor oil #1 could also be used safely on rubber release texturing or stamping mats used in the decorative concrete market.

BENEFITS:

  • Low solvency vegetable oil will not harm any latex rubber composition molds over time unlike petroleum based offsets.
  • Dissolves easily with little mixing.
  • Non-flammable concentrate base reduces shipping requirements.
  • Classified as a biodegradable release composition.
